Every rose must have its thorns.
They are protective devices, don’t you see?  The rose is so beautiful that the thorns keep
away those who might grab them up by the bundles.  But not all beautiful flowers have
thorns.  What is it with the rose?  It is there to teach you a lesson.  Are you not attracted to roses?  Are they not the symbols of love?  Do you not give and receive them on occasions
of sharing love?

You are as beautiful as a rose inside and out, yet do you not project
your own thorns at times, doing your best to keep others at bay?  You have your protective measures, and you
feel they are necessary.  Your florists
cut off the thorns, and the roses are just as beautiful.  Can you do the same?  You are loved, thorns and all, but they are
not truly necessary.  In time, with
evolution, roses will no longer have thorns, for they will no longer be
necessary.  May the same be true of you
in this lifetime.
