Burning_oil_lampYou look upon a body in a coffin and you despair.  You think it is the end.  But that beautiful vessel that you worshipped—with good reason—was solely a dwelling for the aspect of that person you loved.  Could that essence die?  You know in your heart it could not.  And so, where did it go, you want to know?  Where does light go when you turn off a lamp?  Suddenly the room is dark and you feel lost, but the Source of Light is still there at your fingertips.  You need only turn the switch and all is revealed once again. “Oh, if only it were that easy to see my loved ones again,” you cry, and we tell you they are still with you.  You may no longer be able to see their light, for they now burn at a level beyond your human eyesight.  Rather than curse the darkness, know that it holds the light within it.  You will emerge from the darkness when your sensitivities have risen to such a level that you can hear a butterfly’s wings.  Set the intention of seeing through the darkness, but for now know that the light of all who you love and think you have lost burns on. It can be no other way.
