If something in front of you is happening, then that is what is happening.  It is that simple.  It is the propensity to deny the present moment that causes the struggle.  “But this should not be happening!”  But it is happening.  Do you see the struggle?  Accept what is, and then practice your Serenity Prayer.  You truly cannot control everything.  Thinking that you can causes suffering.  Want to try a new tack?  Catch yourself in the process of trying to make things out of your control other than what they are and change the one thing you can change in that moment:  your thoughts about it.  Saying, “Isn’t that interesting” is an excellent place to start, for it takes you to that always present status of neutral observer.  From there, you can choose how peaceful or not is the thought and action which follows.  You are so very loved.
