When you feel the need to justify your words or actions, pause.  Shift your awareness to the heart.  From where comes this need?  Why are you defensive?  If, in checking with your heart, you feel no need to justify, then do not do so.  If you continue to feel the need to justify, there is a lesson there—something you might want to investigate within.  When you are confident that your words or actions are from the highest place, there is no need to justify.  Send compassion to any other who is not in resonance with what you know in your heart comes from the highest place.  If, in sending compassion, you feel a sense of righteousness, then you have not quite come into alignment with the heart, the greatest Testing Tool of Truth at your service.
