“Oh, I shouldn’t be doing that,” you think. And why does this occur to you? It is your conscience speaking. What is this thing called conscience? It is the loving voice of your intuition guiding you when ego tries to steer you away from unity. Unity with what? The higher self, which is connected with all that is and which knows only love. Were it not for this gift of conscience, ego could very well run amok. Of course you always have a choice whether to listen to this voice or not, and you already know what happens when you do not. You experience regret—the feeling that always accompanies that oft-heard phrase, “I should have listened.” To what? “my intuition/my conscience.” They are one and the same, and they will not steer you wrong. What a gift to have this ever-present link with the soul, if only you will listen…
