When things don’t go according to plan, how do you react?  Do you kick and scream like a petulant child?  Perhaps this is one time when you are not advised to “be as the child.”  This is learned behavior, this kicking, screaming, and rebelling against what is.  Go back to the newborn who observes all with wide-eyed wonder, taking it all in and flowing, unaware that there is any difference between what it sees and itself.  This perceived separation is learned as the brain develops.  Oh, that brain.  It is both a blessing and a curse—necessary to operate as a human, but the perceived separation it engenders is what leads to the kicking and screaming.  When things do not go your way, see that there is no me and you, but only life unfolding, and wonder at the wonder of it all.
