“Have it your way” … a slogan with which you are well familiar.  There is great pride in this for the human,
for the ego so enjoys having things go exactly as it wills.  Having it your way gives ego a great sense of
power and independence.  That is fine
when speaking of how you wish to enjoy your food, but what happens when one ego
interacts with other egos?  Can you all
have it your way?  Not when you remain at
the level of the ego.  This is when it is
most helpful to transcend the ego, to rise above your limited desires and
viewpoints and declare, “May I have it Your way” – a request in which you
recognize a greater Power that encompasses all of the egos involved.

That Source of all of you who have your own view of what is best can
always be relied upon to make the best choice for the greater good.  This requires surrender … something ego is loath
to do, but oh, the results are so much greater when you realize that your way
may be limited compared to that of the expanded Self.
