Should you choose to listen to music, know that in doing so, you may be tossed about by the waves of emotion the notes may engender.  Certain notes and chords can bring about melancholy or soaring joy, or any number of states in between.  Skillful composers write songs with this in awareness.  Just as an author or playwrite creates moods with words, the same is true with music.  If you wish to have a pure meditative experience, have no sounds.  If you wish to meditate to music, choose carefully, for the tones will carry you.  The same is true of trying to overcome states of grief or sadness.  It is just as we often remind you:  you are not separate, but part of a field of flowing fields.  All work in concert to create the current experience of This, Awareness.
