Do you feel that you carry the burden for others perhaps
more than your share? First, realize
that doing so is a choice. Second, ask
why you do so. Motive is all-important. Is it to make yourself feel all-important, or
is it from a calling to serve? Is it guilt
that propels you or the pull of the heart to be of service? If the burdens you carry for others are
motivated from spirit, you will feel no weight; if from ego, then you yourself will
feel burdened. Always study your
motives. They can be quite
revealing. If you do not mind carrying
the load for others, then carry on. If
the load gets to be too much, lighten up a bit, but do so from the heart. There are enough hearts around to shoulder
all of the burdens.
