Trick-or-treatA cauldron … is that not what you call a stew-like pot used by so-called witches to concoct potions and brews for some purpose … to cast a spell, perhaps? Like all stories, witches and their cauldrons are metaphors. You have a cauldron in your head into which you toss all kinds of ingredients which you then allow to stew. Depending upon the emotions you throw into the mix, you can call it a potion or a poison. What is a witch, but one who can perform magic. You have created good witches and bad, yet none of them are real, any more than are their potions. All are aspects of Consciousness, just as are you.

Stories are excellent tools for learning and sharing lessons, but when the storyteller identifies with the story and allows it to take him or her farther from the Center, from the Truth of who you really are: pure Awareness itself, with Love as its essence, then you have allowed yourself to become bewitched.

On this day when children ask for tricks and treats, treat yourself to some sweets, but do not be tricked into thinking that witches or even princesses are real any more than you are. Ultimately, you and your story will dissolve back into the cauldron of Love and you will remember …
