Traditions … carried down from one generation to the
next.  Why do they last?  For they bring connection, learning, a sense
of belonging.  You mourn when traditions
die away, and with good reason.  When
there is no tradition, there is separation.
Think of your Thanksgiving traditions … togetherness.

If traditions no longer serve you, then make new ones.  How can you find unity?  How can you connect with the heart, the soul
of others?  All things have their
time.  They fade.  But love, connection, relationship is not a
thing—it is a state of being.  Savor it,
and save it through traditions, old or new.
