Temper.  What is it?  Your tendency to flare up, to allow your emotions to overpower the self.  Where does temper come from?  Inattention.  Lack of awareness of your True Nature.  When emotions build up inside, they become like a simmering pot.  All it takes is to add just a bit more heat and the pot boils instantly.  Temper your emotions by becoming aware of what lies beneath the surface.  What has you simmering?  Your stew is filled with thoughts going round and round, the same worn thoughts that are tied to the role, and none of them as true as the soul.  Question your beliefs.  Are they part of the role you have chosen to play?  You are far more than the actor wearing a costume.  Allow the director to guide your thoughts and actions.  Perhaps you have been doing too good of a job of play-acting if you find yourself flaring up.  Simmer down.  Step off the stage for a while and clear the energy fully.  You will forgive us for mixing analogies, but our stories are most certainly tempered with love for all of you.
