You speak badly of storms, as if they are something you wish to avoid. The storms are as natural as breathing in and out … sunshine and rain, stillness and wind. And what is the result of a storm? Change. You find leaves and twigs upon the ground. Yes, at times a life is taken, to go on to new life. Change is inevitable. But in the wake of the storm, as a result of the “shaking things up,” what occurs? The sun comes out again and there is new growth. Where branches may have fallen you can now see blue sky through the gaps left in the trees. Do not curse the thunder. It has an announcement to make: “Prepare yourself for change.” But for change to take place, you may endure some tumult. See the whole, bigger picture and find understanding and peace.
