rules“Clean your plate.” “Be a good girl.” “Don’t step under a ladder.” So many rules! Where did you learn them? From within? Certainly not. Passed down are they, many without the bearer stopping to think if they make sense or serve the receiver. Perhaps you have even passed along a few yourself. Why? Because you are human, and humans live by rules. The spirit lives by laws—laws which are immutable, such as the Law of Balance, the Law of Rhythm, and the Law of Love.

Examine the rules by which you live. What will happen if you break them? Does that thought bring you fear? If so, it is part of the human side, not the spirit. Rules are not bad, nor are they necessarily good. Some are necessary, for sure, in a world full of egos, but not all serve you. Take a new look today at the old rules which have become your belief set. You may have a good laugh or perhaps even a cry, but we daresay it will open your eye.
