What does it mean to be nurtured?  To be coddled both physically and emotionally.  To feel another’s love clearly and know that you are dearly loved no matter what.  To feel swaddled in emotional warmth.  To know that you are safe.  The human longs to be nurtured for it is one of your most ancient memories, if you wish to put it in terms of time.  But the feeling of being nurtured and the longing for it goes beyond time.  You come from a state of awareness where all know they are swaddled in love.  That love without conditions wraps around you in full awareness in your true Home.

You are so brave to have volunteered to come into a physical body and cloak yourself in a vessel that often blocks your awareness of how very nurtured you are in this moment.  You are so courageous to associate your Self, the soul, with a vehicle operated by a brain that acts as a filter, at times blocking your awareness of Home.

Do not be in a hurry to rid yourself of the body and brain.  This exploration vehicle is part and parcel of the assignment you willingly took on, but always Home base is there, here, in your consciousness, as your consciousness.  With those remnants of awareness, sink back beyond the body and know nurturing.  Know how very loved you are.

If those around you fail to give you this feeling of all-encompassing adoration and love, then give it to yourself.  Take the time to coddle yourself.  It is all right.  You deserve it.  Wrap yourself in a soft blanket and luxuriate, if only for a few minutes, longer if possible.  And if there are no blankets nearby and no time for lengthy breaks, then frequently simply breathe, go within, and remind yourself, “I AM Home now at another level of awareness.  I appreciate the body for its lessons, but it cannot hide from me the fact that I AM Love eternally and eternally loved.”
