You read or hear about your senseless tragedies in your headlines, and they keep you up at night. They make no sense to the human who thinks that death is the end and a terrible thing. We are not saying those left behind do not grieve, but what happens as a result of tragedy gives meaning to the human life. No soul is sent to human form to deliberately kill or maim. These are the result of choices made through free will.
Why have free will? For the growth of the soul, the evolution of mankind. When there has been a so-called tragedy, laws are changed, foundations are formed, ripples ensue. Outrage produces an effect. The level of consciousness of those taking action determines the effect, be it more killing and maiming or changes and healing. Gradually, through evolution, higher choices are made.
Do you choose love or revenge? Love or hate? These kinds of questions are why it is referred to as Earth School. Will you go on to be a model student or repeat grades? Death is not a tragedy for those who pass through the veil. They have graduated from Earth School and are immersed in the love that so many left behind are in school to find.
