When an animal is in a cage, what does it do?  It howls and lashes out.  Do not humans learn to do the same when they
feel threatened?  Young children learn
these behaviors and they become cemented in.
We are not saying that being caged is the only cause of such behavior.  We wish to show you cause and effect resulting
in undesirable learned behavior.  Seeing
this, can you now find compassion for those who lash out?

It is natural from a human perspective that when one lashes
out at you that you would lash back.  There
is another, higher reaction.  It arises
from understanding the human dynamic.  When
you can rise above the human behavior and respond to outcries with compassion,
then you have unlearned human learning and grown.
