Conformity … coming into alignment.  Did you know that your expression “Towing the
line” in not about towing at all, but “toe-ing,” such as what happens when a
group of recruits is told to stand at attention with their toes along a line
painted on the ground.  They are toe-ing
the line.  They are in conformity, in
alignment.  And what of the group member
who dares to step out of line?  He can
cross the line or step back, but he most definitely stands out.  He is now a non-conformist.

Perhaps some of your new spiritual beliefs cause you to step
back or across a line drawn by a greater majority of your more traditional
human beings.  Does this make you a
non-conformist?  In a way, yes, but
whether that is right or wrong is a human judgment.  Where is your heart?  What is your motive?  If you remain steadfastly focused on divine
love, then you are now in alignment with your true nature.  Now you are toe-ing the line with
Spirit.  Perhaps non-conformity is not such
a bad thing after all.  It is all a
matter of perspective.
