The more you can surrender, the greater your freedom. Does this not sound like a paradox? This is because you associate surrender with
giving up control, and freedom with having it. In this case, the opposite is true. Surrender ego to Spirit. When you do this and allow yourself to be
guided by Higher Consciousness, you are acknowledging the Truth that you do not
walk alone. It is the ego that keeps you
trapped in the false belief that you are a solitary being who must struggle
through all of your challenges alone. In
your mind, a weak person in a battle surrenders and becomes a prisoner. In reality, a strong spirit surrenders ego
and becomes free! The more you surrender
your belief systems as a human and align with Spirit, the higher you can fly.
