“Defer” … “in deference
to” … what does this mean? That you
recognize something or someone other than yourself. You, on the spiritual path, are taught over
and over that separation is illusion—that you are all connected—and this is
true. But it is also true that the
majority of your human life is spent focused on your individuality, for that is
how you learn the hard way.
The so-called conscious
mind appears separate. It is only when
you rise to the sub-conscious and super-conscious that you are aware of your
connectedness. This is where you access
the guidance and insight you so often seek from others. We ask you to defer to that greater aspect of
yourself (which, in truth, is not
separate from yourself), and there you will find the answers you seek.
In deference to the ego, we daresay it does exist, but defer to the greater sight and insight
of those aspects beyond the ego, and there, in this expanded state, will you
truly awaken.
