When you clip the wings of another, you feel you are taking away their freedom. Of course there is sadness with change, but gratitude that you are able to make difficult decisions that feel correct in the heart. Following the heart is not always easy, but it is always the higher choice. When love prevails you cannot go wrong. Now love yourself for making the tough decisions and get on with life, for life most certainly goes on, filled with change. It is those who are unwilling to flow with it and change who suffer the most.
Note from Suzanne: A reader on Facebook was confused by this post. I replied: It feels to me that Sanaya is speaking to the human situations we often face in our families. I was just talking with my sister about the difficult decision to take away my mother’s car keys. The very next day after we did that, someone else her same age in our community died in a one-car accident. Sanaya always comes from love.
