words2Sarcasm .. the very word has the root of one of your illnesses, sarcosis. It is a biting word, meant to make a point, but the point—in the end—jabs not just the recipient of the words, but the one who issues them. Be aware of when you use sarcasm as a weapon. Yes, it is a weapon. You may rationalize and call it humor, but it is yet another of ego’s defense mechanisms. When ego rather than the spirit side of you is involved, there is a better way. And, of course, when ego is involved, it takes a bit of effort and attention to overcome. Pay attention when the sarcasm slips from your lips and examine why you would choose the emotion connected with those words over more loving words laced with love.
