When someone greets you with an angry face, a set jaw, a firm frown, it has nothing to do with you.  They are hurting.  “But what if I am the one who hurt them?” you ask, and we tell you that is your issue.  Another can only allow themselves to feel hurt based on their beliefs and perceptions.  It is their choice.

Now, set that situation aside and picture someone you do not know well and with whom you have not interacted.  When they present themselves to you as described, you may wish to turn away.  Humans like pleasant faces and smiles.  You need not tolerate one who is unpleasant, but we wish you to at least understand that again their unpleasantness has nothing to do with you.  They are hurting for some reason.  The root cause is that they have forgotten they are so very loved for they are love, as are you.  How you choose to deal with their ignorance of this fact is up to you.  Do you see?  They cannot hurt you any more than you can hurt them.  So how will you feel about their sour face now?
