You meet a new family member for the first time. Such tiny toes and fingers! What a blessing! You see the sparkle in their eyes and the guileless smile, and your heart opens wide. Why is there instant love, instant connection? For you recognize each other soul to soul. The connection has already been made at a different level from the human awareness.
“I AM here now in form,” says the baby’s soul to yours. “Love me, and in so doing, you increase your own capacity to love. You need love me for no other reason than that, for in these opening days of my life on earth I have nothing but awareness of love. It will not last long. Soon I will become more human, but never forget what you first saw in me. It will always be there, just as it is in you. And when you are in that place in you and I AM in that place in me, that—fellow soul—is when we are truly one.
