You are characters in a play.  Any behaviors that you judge and criticize in another could easily be yours.  You are capable of anything as a human:  every emotion, every action.  If you do not believe us, choose one action of one near and dear to you that you judge or criticize, whether silently or aloud.  And then wait.  Wait until they are not present and that which triggers them triggers you.  See if you do not catch yourself acting or reacting in the self-same way.  When you do, perhaps you can laugh at yourself.  Better yet, laugh at yourself the next time you would have judged or criticized that other as you come to a new understanding of the meaning of “projection.”
