Coal miners descend down a long, dark shaft in search of treasure.  Yes, it is only hunks of black rock, but they descend into the darkness knowing what they seek will result in bringing light and heat to others.  Are you willing to close your eyes and go within?  Do not equate darkness with something scary.  Do not equate descending with something negative.  Oh, how language sends you places you need not go!  In this analogy, you are simply going within in search of the treasure that is always there.  Like taking coal to Newcastle.  Within you is enough treasure to light the world.  Go within often and ask the deep questions in the depths of Being and you will feel the warmth arising as you discover:  You are so very loved.
