Catch yourself the moment a thought arises.  Is it old, habituated, worn out by use?  Does it serve you?  Or is it fresh, new, and arising from some place other than the storehouse of your memories?  You can control your thoughts if you choose to do so.  Remain aware.  Remain lucid.  Thoughts can run amok and create havoc when they come from the past.  New thoughts can create beauty and uncover the peace that lies beneath all the cobwebs..  Choose wisely and access your innate wisdom.  You are so very loved.
