When you are bitten by a mosquito, the skin rises in a bump.  The same happens when you bump into something hard.  The body lets you know it is not happy, but it is healing on its own, by grace.  When you stumble a bit in your human experiences, you call these bumps in the road.  The road is never completely smooth.  How else would you learn?  You may rise above the bumps or come to a full stop for a while, but eventually healing takes place.  By grace.  And what have you learned in earth school?  Suffering happens, but it need not last.  Healing takes place.  By grace.  When you resist the bumps and bruises, suffering happens.  When you know that bumps are part and parcel of life in earth school, you ask the question:  What lesson is there in this bump for me?  Do I need to slow down?  Pay attention?  Change my thoughts?  Reach out for help?  You will not be stuck forever.  The bug bite will calm down and go away.   Healing is an ongoing process, as is growth.  By grace.
