You celebrate the years
passed in physical form one after the other.
You light candles and sing songs.
‘Tis true, there is reason to celebrate life, but not merely life in
physical form.  Celebrate existence.  You consider the number of years in form
important.  You consider it a tragedy
when one no long has birthdays to celebrate.
We see it differently.  Celebrate
the quality of the life.  Celebrate the
level of love and compassion-sharing achieved.
This is something to sing about … another year wiser, another year more
loving.

Quality, not
quantity.   This is what matters, for
life goes on eternally.  How long you
spend in physical form matters not a whit.
How you spend that time in physical form is what it’s all about.
