“Please love me,” you beg silently with your eyes and your heart, but it is the human heart that does so, not the soul. The soul knows you are loved. The soul knows it is love, for it has Love as its source and cannot be separated from that which it is. And so, when you find yourself feeling lonely or unloved, acknowledge that, but who is doing the acknowledging? What is behind the thoughts? Keep seeking the one who is behind all thoughts and you will be peeling back the layers that keep you blinded to the love inside. Peel back enough layers and you will never again have to beg, “Please love me,” for you will have found the jewel. It is there glittering inside of you and has been there all along.
